What is the Cycling Dynamics?

Cycling Dynamics are metrics and visualizations available on select Garmin counters and watches. They present precise data on the distribution of user-generated forces during crank turns. The new POWERCRANK TWIN2 records and transmits the following parameters:

The above-mentioned parameters can be displayed on the meter/watch screen during the activity, in addition, they will be presented graphically and numerically in the Garmin Connect app after the completed activity is uploaded.

If you have a compatible watch or counter it is necessary to manually start handling this data. You can find how to do this in the manual of your meter/watch. Usually, all you need to do is go into your device’s power meter settings, find the “cycling dynamics” option and enable/set it as active.

List of compatible Garmin devices that allow the use of the “Cycling Dynamics” option:

1  The Edge Explore 2 allows Cycling Dynamics parameters to be recorded and displayed in the Garmin Connect app, but there is no way to display the data while riding on the meter screen.
