Cycling Dynamics are metrics and visualizations available on select Garmin counters and watches. They present precise data on the distribution of user-generated forces during crank turns. The new POWERCRANK TWIN2 records and transmits the following parameters:
- POWER PHASE (PP):
- Initial angle of positive power (positive torque)
- Final angle of positive power (positive torque)
- PEAK POWER PHASE (PPP):
- Initial angle of peak power (peak torque)
- Final angle of peak power (peak torque)
- SEATED/STANDING POSITION
- RIGHT/LEFT BALANCE – The balance between the power generated by the right and left legs, expressed as a % of total power
The above-mentioned parameters can be displayed on the meter/watch screen during the activity, in addition, they will be presented graphically and numerically in the Garmin Connect app after the completed activity is uploaded.
If you have a compatible watch or counter it is necessary to manually start handling this data. You can find how to do this in the manual of your meter/watch. Usually, all you need to do is go into your device’s power meter settings, find the “cycling dynamics” option and enable/set it as active.
